New Health IT agency appoints advisory board

Silver Buck a newly formed health IT communications organisation has appointed its new advisory board.

The company, which was launched earlier this year, has created the Buccaneers to support health IT suppliers and health care organisations to better position themselves and ensure that they are delivering solutions that the industry both needs and understands.

The new board is made up of some of the most reputable and experienced names working in the healthcare IT industry:

  • Richard Corbridge, Chief Digital Information Officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals;
  • Jon Hoeksma, CEO at Digital Health
  • Tracey Watson, Head of Innovation and Partnerships at NHS England;
  • Dominic Cushnan, AI Lead at NHS Horizons;
  • Matt Neligan, Director Data Transformation and Operations at NHS England;
  • and Yvonne Goff, Chief Clinical Information Officer at Ireland’s Health Service Executive.

Dominic Cushnan, AI Lead at NHS Horizons said: “I have always been an advocate of those trying to break the mould, and those looking at solutions through a different lens. Silver Buck is flying the flag to support people and organisations to communicate – in a world of uncertainty – the prospect of distribution by bringing value to the needs of the user.”

“I wanted to be part of the Silver Buck team in order to support the health IT industry to move out of its comfort zone and to deliver on the promise of producing content that pushes the needle. Batten down the hatches, the existing ways of communicating what IT can do is going to be changed!”

The group will meet regularly to discuss the opportunities and challenges for the market, their experiences of the evolving landscape, to review recent health IT developments and also to provide guidance on how NHS suppliers and healthcare providers can ensure that positive messages around digital health can make the impact they deserve.

Sarah Bruce, Co-founder and Director of Silver Buck said: “We have brought together a group of individuals who are well known in the NHS for their expertise but equally recognised for their high-energy, passion and creativity within the industry. Collectively, the Silver Buccaneers will be unrivalled in providing the knowledge, expertise and know-how to ensure that organisations can make a real impact with their health and IT messages and campaigns.”

Richard Corbridge, CDIO at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, added: “Many digital leaders across the NHS feel like the stars have aligned in recent months and that for the first time in a decade the opportunity to bring digital to the fore is here.”
