A former NHS Manager who co-founded Visionable a video collaboration platform has raised £9.1m in funding.
The technology provides clinicians, paramedics and healthcare professionals with secure video conferencing designed for sharing clinical information and imaging.
The new investment values the company at £47.6m and the raise was led by West Hill Capital.
The healthtech startup was co-founded by a former NHS manager, Alan Lowe and independent peer Lord Victor Adebowale.
Alan Lowe, who previously led the service improvement programme for NHS Westminster, said “This latest round of funding shows that investors are just as excited as we are about the possibility for Visionable to make a real difference to the healthcare industry in the next decade.”
The startup recently participated in a trial for connecting ambulances with O2 earlier this year, and now supports over 100 NHS organisations including the North West London Cancer Network.
The company said over 500 patients use the platform every hour.
