NHSX is seeking a national CIO to help deliver on its five missions.
The role will be a core member of the organisation’s senior leadership team and will work directly with the Chief Executive and CCIO. The post-holder will also help the clinical team in scoping designing and delivering new programs as required by the wider system.
NHSX core missions include:
- Reducing the burden on clinicians and staff
- Giving citizens the tools to access information and services directly
- Ensuring the clinical information can be safely accessed wherever it is needed
- Aiding the improvement of patient safety across the NHS
- Improving NHS productivity with digital technology
The new CIO will be responsible for the delivery of these missions and delivering Matt Hancock’s Tech Vision and building on the NHS Long Term Plan.
