NHSX has today announced a new national chief information officer, Sonia Patel.
Sonia Patel was previously CIO at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and will now take up the role working with Matthew Gould, CEO and CCIO Simon Eccles.
The role was advertised at just over £130,000, and Sonia is expected to start in the summer.
Sonia takes over from Will Smart, who left in September 2019 for a corporate role.
