Digital health startup Numan completes £10M Series A

Numan, the online clinic built for men has closed a £10 million Series A funding round, led by Novator, along with Anthemis Exponential, Vostok New Ventures, and Colle Capital.

The start-up launched in February 2019 to specifically support men take action when it comes to their health and wellbeing. The company provides access to clinicians through online consultations and provides advice and support on a range of common health factors from hair loss, blood tests and supplements.

The company has also appointed Sam Shah, former director of transformation at NHSX as Chief Medical Strategy Officer. Sam will be leading the clinical team and developing the medical strategy for the start-up.

Sam said to HTN: “My focus will be on developing our plans to use novel technology as well as researching new conditions, diagnostics and treatments for our patients; and a key area of my work will be developing our electronic health systems.”

Numan plans to use the funding to support its future growth plans, expand operations and grow the team.
