Moorfields launches tender to develop user-first digital service

Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has opened a new tender to find a partner to develop its user-first digital service.

£457,000 is being made available over 2 years to re-structure and re-build Moorfield’s digital landscape using a user-first, content-first approach.

The specialist eye hospital plans to develop its digital offering, to ensure key content is made available to patients prior to an appointment and to consolidate multiple websites into an integrated digital service.

It includes introducing new simpler methods for healthcare professionals to refer in to Moorfields, additional options for private patients, such as to book and self-pay, and offering education to HCP’s through online courses.

The trust outlined the problem to be solved: “Moorfield’s current digital offer is presented across 15+ different websites which presents difficulties for users accessing help and support online.”

“Moorfields needs a supplier to work with to deliver the alpha and beta phase of a new website consolidating multiple websites into an integrated digital service and the set up of a continuous improvement model utilising UCD principles and agile development.”

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 24 November 2020 at 11:59pm. To find out more please click here.
