Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS FT goes live with TPP SystmOne

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS FT has gone live with a new electronic patient record from TPP as part of its digital transformation strategy.

The trust worked with Channel 3 consulting to deliver a remote implementation plan, with the system recently going live across children’s services.

The implementation was delivered through 223 virtual training events to trust staff using Microsoft Teams, supporting a successful deployment and go-live.

Clare Mundell, Chief Pharmacist at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Undertaking a new electronic patient record implementation this year was never going to be easy but we amended our approach to include virtual training, remote support at go-live and increased super-users on the ground. The whole team worked as one to achieve this outcome.”

Tracy Dowling, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, said: “As a trust, we set ourselves a significant challenge to implement this system in a shorter timescale than first expected and the Channel 3 team have delivered in the most difficult of circumstances. They worked with us in a true partnership to ensure our teams were informed and empowered from start to finish.”

“I am so proud of what our ‘OneVision’ programme has achieved to date and look forward to seeing the difference that this new electronic patient record will make for our staff and patients.”

Eleanor Rollason, Partner at Channel 3, added: “Whilst undertaking this work in a Covid-19 world presented us with many challenges, it also created even more opportunities to do things differently. We have proven we can do it, and we will continue to collaborate, learn and adapt our approach, continuing to implement even more effectively as we progress with OneVision.”

The rollout of the EPR to the trust’s remaining services is planned for December and early 2021.
