12 suppliers on the new Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Digital Capability for Health framework, for the next four years, have been announced.
The framework, which is designed to help public health and social care organisations in developing ‘digital solutions’ went live on 27 January.
It was created in collaboration with NHS Digital to support digital outcomes and services, such as electronic care records.
NHS Digital, NHSX, NHS Business Services Authority and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency were among those that helped evaluate applications and select the suppliers.
From over 1,000 interested parties, the 12 successful suppliers are:
- Accenture
- Aire Logic Limited
- BJSS Limited
- Capita
- Cognizant Worldwide
- Hippo Digital Limited
- IBM
- Infinity Works Consulting
- Informed Solutions
- Kainos Software
- Mastek
- Netcompany UK
In an NHS Digital announcement, Robert McMillan, Commercial Director, said: “CCS and NHS Digital have productively collaborated to deliver Digital Capability for Health, blending our organisations’ expertise of the digital market and specialisms in awarded large scale framework agreements.
“We are thrilled with the result and pleased to welcome 12 strong suppliers with leading expertise across the digital lifecycle and look forward to developing relationships with these suppliers and their supply chains to further strengthen our delivery capabilities.”
Made up of a single lot, the supplier agreement covers services in:
- Development and operations (DevOps) – for ongoing minor improvements of live services
- Digital definition services – creating and progressing the project through discovery and alpha phases
- Build and transition services – building the services using beta and live phases
- End-to-end development services – designing and developing the services from discovery to live phases
- Data management (and similar) services – for performing data collection, data processing and analysis and management of data and services.
Business technology consultancy, BJSS is one of the chosen 12. The company says its inclusion on the framework is as a result of its ‘successful track-record in delivering some of the NHS’ most ambitious agile technology projects to date’, including ‘critical national infrastructure during the pandemic and customer-facing digital products’.
Lauren Bevan, Head of Health and Social Care at BJSS, said of the announcement: “I’m pleased that we have been able to secure a place on this framework to continue our great work with the NHS. I’m looking forward to working with our exceptional partners to bring the best of all of our talent to bear to deliver better outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals.”
The framework will continue the company’s ongoing nine-year partnership with NHS Digital. And the framework has ‘already attracted interest’ from other public sector bodies, including Public Health England.
