Digital health startup Numan acquires Swedish medical science and health tech company

Numan, a digital health startup and men’s online clinic, has announced its acquisition of Vi-Health, a Swedish medical science and health tech company.

Branding itself as ‘holistic healthcare’ for men, Numan has provided 1.4 million digital consultations with UK-based clinicians since 2019 and also offers screening, pathology, personalised supplements and prescription medication, as part of its ‘comprehensive suite of diagnostics’.

The addition of Vi-Health expands Numan’s portfolio significantly as the Swedish company’s platform is registered as a Class I Medical Device and includes an AI-powered symptom checker, e-consultation tools such as chat, voice and video, as well as workflow automation tools.

Numan says that this latest acquisition is part of the company journey to become a ‘holistic, full-stack, digital health provider’.

Sokratis Papafloratos, founder and CEO of Numan, said, “Vi-health is an exceptional company and was the perfect fit for us in terms of vision, IP and skills. We want Numan to be your first step on a journey to better health and wellbeing, and Vi-Health’s technology and IP help us get there faster.

“More importantly, the team was a big driver behind our decision to make the acquisition. It’s a group of people full of talent, deep expertise, and a passion about changing healthcare for the better, on a global scale. We’re all very excited to be working together.”

Much of the Vi-Health team will also be joining Numan but continuing to work from offices in Stockholm and Malmö.
