We’re only a few days away from the next edition in the HTN Health Tech for the Now series, when we welcome a fantastic group of people joining us to share their learnings and advice, as we delve into their digital programmes.

Our September edition of HTN Now takes place 20-23 September with four days of live sessions, panel discussions, interviews and innovations.
Here’s what to expect…
20th September: Kettering General Hospital NHS FT, Ideal Health, CareFlow Medicines Management and Graphnet Care Alliance
Day one, we open with a talk from Andy Callow, Group Chief Digital Information Officer at Kettering General Hospital NHS FT focusing on their digital programmes, followed by a session on ‘realising what good looks like in integrated care’ from Jonah Aburrow-Jones, Director – Digital Health Maturity, Strategy and Consulting at Ideal Health.
At 3pm on day one, we’re then joined for a session to explore medicines management today – a review of the top five current challenges. In this session, we welcome Robert Tysall-Blay, CEO of CareFlow Medicines Management and Markus Bolton, joint CEO of System C and Graphnet Care Alliance, who will share their views on the world of medicines management in the UK’s healthcare system.
21st September: Greater Manchester Mental Health, Moorfields Eye Hospital, Health Education England, NHSX
We kick-off day two by taking a look at the digital programmes at Greater Manchester Mental Health, focusing on co-developing digital health software for people with long-term conditions. Next-up we welcome Dr Peter Thomas, CCIO and Consultant Paediatric Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital to share some of their digital programmes, followed by a session at 1pm when we welcome back Henrietta Mbeah-Bankas, Head of Blended Learning and Digital Literacy Workstream Lead at Health Education England. The final session of the day focuses on ‘what does a good Blueprint look like?’ – you can join the panel to hear about how Blueprinting will form a core part of the What Good Looks Like ‘support offer’ to trusts.
22nd September: Arden & Gem CSU, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Coventry and Warwickshire ICS
For day three we open by exploring an evaluation of the Global Digital Exemplar programme. The independent evaluation is complete with insights, recommendations, reflections and learnings for the health and care sector. We then take a virtual visit to Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for a session with David Pickles, Lead Nurse Implementation Team, from the trusts’s Informatics Directorate. Then our third session of the day we are joined by Danny Rogers, Programme Director for the Coventry and Warwickshire Shared Care Record, and Jayne Rooke, Healthcare Solutions Programme Manager at NHS Arden & GEM, who will share how keeping the shared vision at the centre of the programme enabled partners to successful navigate the challenges of data sharing and contracting.
23rd September: Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS FT, Inhealthcare, Healthcare Gateway and Connecting Care
For the finale, we virtually visit Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS FT to hear a talk from Mr Graham Walsh, CCIO at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS FT on their programmes and electronic patient record system. HTN have heard from many trusts who have visited Calderdale and Huddersfield and benefitted from their learnings, so we thought it would be a great start to day four. Next up, we then focus on ‘elective recovery in the NHS and the part that digital health and remote monitoring can play’ with Inhealthcare. To close the day we explore the Healthcare Gateway and Connecting Care digital care record system in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
Through the event we’ll also be sharing our latest features and interviews with leaders from across health and care.
