The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS FT has signed a 10-year deal to implement an electronic patient record (EPR) system.
Supported by funding from the NHS Digital Aspirant programme, the EPR from System C will be rolled-out as part of the trust’s putting digital at the forefront strategy.
The trust currently uses the company’s e-observations and medicines management modules, as well System C’s partner Graphnet supporting the shared care record in the region.
Simon Adams, Digital Director at Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital FT, commented on the deal: “This is a very exciting development for the trust and wider integrated care system. The new system will enable the trust to deliver better and more joined up care for our patients through a secure and modern platform, enabling our patients and staff to communicate digitally and improve the quality and safety of our services.
“The programme team and I are looking forward to progressing this important digital transformation to help improve staff’s working lives and care for our patients.”
HTN recently reported on the company appointing Guy Lucchi as their new Managing Director of Healthcare. Guy was previously joint Digital Innovation Director for Health Innovation Manchester and Chief Digital Officer for the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.
In other EPR news this week, the Royal Devon University Healthcare went live with its electronic patient record system.
