NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) has announced a second iteration of its Technology Enabled Care Services framework, a route to support integrated care systems, NHS organisations and local authorities in procuring remote patient monitoring solutions.
Consisting of six lots, the framework covers: remote clinical monitoring, alarm receiving centre platforms, digital alarms solutions and peripherals, intelligent activity monitoring, patient controlled personalised healthcare records, and a ‘one stop shop’ combined solution.
The NHS SBS revised £150 million framework aims to support providers to ‘quickly procure’ remote monitoring tech up until 8 July 2024, with a possible extension to the framework to January 2027.
Commenting on the announcement, Adam Nickerson, NHS SBS’s head of category – digital & IT procurement frameworks, said: “The framework agreement enables ICSs and provider collaboratives – from housing authorities to local authorities, to strategically source and quickly buy a mixture of goods be it a single, bundled or a fully managed service, which work across a region. It means they can better plan and deliver joined up services and improve the health of the population across their regional wing of care.”
