Join us on 19 April for HTN Now: live webinars and research on a range of health tech topics

Join us this Wednesday, 19 April, for a day of live webinars and research on a variety of digital health topics, including remote monitoring, patient flow, records management and behavioural change solutions.

At 9am, we hear from Dr Gemma Donovan of Generated Health and Dr Sabine Van Der Veer from the the University of Manchester on the potential and pitfalls of digital health and behaviour change for Core20PLUS5. Gemma and Sabine will discuss how everyday behaviours are core to people’s health and heavily influenced by inequalities, with behavioural change solutions required to account for different populations and needs.

At 10am, Rachel Binks from Airedale NHS Foundation Trust joins us to discuss the Airedale Digital Care Hub, which now supports over 20,000 care home residents using telemedicine in 700 homes across the country. Rachel will discuss how remote monitoring has become integral to support self-care and keep people with long-term conditions safe.

At 11am, we’ll be hosting a panel discussion on patient flow and virtual care, with focus on projects, challenges, approaches, learning and opportunities in this area. Panelists include Dr Penny Kechagioglou (chief clinical information officer and deputy medical officer at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire); Lee Rickles (chief information officer at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust); and Paul Deffley (UK chief medical officer at Alcidion).

At 12pm, Vijay Magon of CCube Solutions joins us to discuss patient records management, focusing on interoperability along with system-wide access and sharing.

In the afternoon, we’ll be sharing a research piece focusing on the role of digital health in improving patient safety, integrating health and social care, service delivery models, and improving experiences for patients and staff.
