Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board has published a tender opportunity to procure a virtual care digital platform.
The contract is valued at up to £3 million for the ICB to commission a solution to cover an initial 200 virtual ward beds, and “support the delivery of a patient-centred model, to deliver multi-disciplinary and collaborative health services.”
The ICB intends for the platform to be implemented and operational in each of its four places within 12 weeks of a contract date of 1 September 2023. It adds an expectation that the platform is fully integrated and operational by the end of the year, and that it’s “to be clinical pathway agnostic, across an age and care continuum.”
Further services are noted in the tender to include wearable remote monitoring devices and associated connectivity to the platform, incorporation of existing patients, and additional virtual ward beds.
On the solution, the tender states: “The system should be agile and have the flexibility to respond to evolving technology and operational requirements as these emerge.”
The notice adds that the contract will be for 24 months initially, with an option to extend by an additional 36 months.
The deadline to apply is midday 7 July 2023. To find out more, view the tender notice here.
