Poll: What does your organisation need most to improve patient flow?

For the latest poll in the HTN Health Tech Trends Series, sponsored by InterSystems, we took to Twitter and LinkedIn to ask our audience: What does your organisation need most to improve patient flow?

Participants ranged from various backgrounds and settings such as NHS organisations, researchers and healthcare innovators.

A slight majority vote of 36.5% agreed that more workforce capacity is needed the most to improve patient flow, with voters including practice nurses, programme managers and digital leaders.

The second most popular answer with 31.7% of votes was access to real-time data, which received support from healthcare consultants, EPR managers and primary care.

21.9% of voters felt that more funding for digital technology is needed most to improve patient flow, which comprised clinical leads, innovation consultants, AI and simulation experts and an NHS leaders.

The least popular answer with just 9.75% of the overall votes was better identifying gaps, which received support from participants in corporate development, specialist nursing and value consultancy.

The results seem to highlight that the ‘gaps’ in patient flow are widely understood, and a greater investment into the workforce itself is considered to elevate the efficacy of patient flow from a systemic perspective.

Are these the results you expected? Would you have chosen differently?
