Our HTN Now event series aims to explore best practice and inspiration from across the NHS and beyond. Tomorrow, Tuesday 21 November, join us for a range of live and written content across topics including population hypertension management, ophthalmology, cancer care and more, along with a very special launch of a new health tech resource.
We’re kicking things off at 10am with a session exploring how NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICS has utilised digital tools to improve population hypertension management. BLMK’s clinical pharmacist Matthew Davies and Generated Health’s chief medical officer Dr Jonathan Serjeant will lead the discussion, focusing on the project, approach, progress and results.
At 11am, we’re joined by Dr Peter Thomas, director of digital development and CCIO at Moorfields Eye Hospital, consultant ophthalmologist and digital clinical lead for the NHS England Eyecare Programme. Peter will be discussing the status of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology and eyecare, including opportunities for AI to solve operational problems as well as clinical; how close we are to using AI to drive transformation; how we can adapt clinical pathways in readiness; and what the future looks like.
At 12pm, NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB’s director of transformation and chief digital information officer Deborah El-Sayed joins GE HealthCare Command Centre Europe’s director Esther Ocrah and HTN editor Jon Wilson for a panel discussion on using data for proactive care, with focus on practical examples, use of data within and across organisations for improvements, and how to accelerate the shift to proactive care.
At 1pm, we’ll be publishing an interview with Ceire Costelloe, professor of health informatics at The Institute of Cancer Research, London, and Lisa Scerri, business manager of BRIDgE (Biomedical Research Informatics Digital Environments) at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Ceire and Lisa discuss how health data is being used to improve outcomes across the cancer pathway, along with the role of BRIDgE in enabling researchers to access real-world cancer data within secure, collaborative and cloud-based workspaces.
Finally, at 2pm, we’ll be launching our new global site, HTN International – join us as we explore health tech, best practice and learnings from around the globe!
