The US-based Hims & Hers Health, Inc., health and wellness platform has acquired UK digital health platform ZAVA, in a “significant step in its global expansion” which is also to see the company advance its presence in other European countries such as Germany, France and Ireland.
Zava’s European operations and digital experience have reportedly seen the platform used by 1.3 million active customers, with 2.3 million consultations delivered in 2024. By combining this with the Hims & Hers brand, it is hoped the company can strengthen its international footprint and introduce a new personalised digital health experience offering access to care across dermatology, sexual and mental health.
“Together we’ll pair ZAVA’s trusted clinical services, established footprint, and deep understanding of the European healthcare landscape with the Hims & Hers experience to make affordable access to high-quality, personalised care the rule, not the exception,” said David Meinertz, co-founder and CEO of ZAVA. “I’m thrilled to be working with Andrew and his team. It’s still day one for digital healthcare, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve for patients in the years ahead.”
The company noted that more will be shared on the deal in the coming months, with the acquisition expected to close in the second half of 2025.
