At the end of Friday, educational settings in England closed their doors, with exception for vulnerable children and children of critical workers.
A classification list of what is considered a key worker was published yesterday.
Matthew Gould, CEO, NHSX said “If you are a technologist working to support the NHS or social care deal with COVID-19, you count as a key worker.”
On Twitter one user asked “does that include suppliers?” to which Gould responded “Yes. We need our tech suppliers to keep operating.”

NHSX said “NHS and Social Care tech staff working on COVID-19 are classed as key workers, forming part of the support and specialist staff required to maintain the UK’s health and social care sector.”
The news comes at an important time with many health tech suppliers supporting frontline staff, developing new solutions to quickly help, and doing whatever they can.
