HTN Now: 10 sessions not to miss…

On 3rd and 4th November HTN host a series of webcast sessions to share learnings and innovations across health and care.

Keynote – Remote Monitoring

Tara Donnelly, Chief Digital Officer, NHSX and Breid O’Brien, Director of Digital Health, NHSX will lead a session focusing on remote monitoring. It will include learnings from the first wave of covid, an offer for the second wave and discuss scaling plans for remote monitoring working with partners across the NHS regions.

Apple Health App, a digital first person-centred data approach

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS FT and Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT in October became the first hospitals in the UK to enable patients to access medical data through the Health Records app on iPhone.

Craig York, Chief Technology Officer, Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will share the project.

Digital innovations at Liverpool Women’s including VR, Theatre Stackers, Paper Free and RPA

In this session we are joined by Matt Connor, Chief Information Officer, Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust who will share some of the digital programmes at Liverpool Women’s.

Patient centred healthcare, connecting health and care providing relevant patient data, when and where it is needed

The session will demonstrate real life use cases of how bi-directional flows of patient data via the MIG supports clinicians across health and social care settings.

Transforming to a paper-light environment  

Andy Webster, CCIO, and Guy Dickie, Associate Director of Digital, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust will share a recent digitisation project at the trust and the impact it has had.

Applying HIMSS to Drive Digital Maturity and Transformation

We are joined by Ideal Health to explore the benefits of using different HIMSS maturity models to support and deliver transformational change through improved digital maturity.

Smart Med Tech – Digitalisation of the clinical Interface

As we move through the existing crisis to what our future looks like, remote medication and treatment will feature an ever increasing role. As such the role of Smart Med Tech and digitalisation at the clinical interface will take an increasingly prominent role.

Digital Child Growth Assessment – from print to digital for better child health

In this session we welcome Dr Marcus Baw, GP, Emergency Physician, Clinical Informatician and Software Developer, Dr Simon Chapman, Paediatrician, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and the Maudsley Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
and Tim Cole, Professor of medical statistics, and affiliation UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.

The session discusses the challenge with switching to growth charts in a digital form and explores the maths behind these charts and the datasets they rely on. The RCPCH digital growth charts API provides a decoupled web-service approach, which allows the ability to ‘do once and share’ – and it has created a single, national, Royal College-validated system for accurate growth charts and related calculations, which EPR suppliers can build into their products at low cost.
