For HTN Now November we were joined by NHSX for a keynote session focusing on remote monitoring.
Tara Donnelly, Chief Digital Officer and Breid O’Brien, Deputy Director of Digital Health at NHSX presented a session focusing on the use of digital tools helping to support people feel more cared for and to provide a better experience for patients and clinicians.
Tara opened with an example of one of these projects and an offer for the second wave: “As part of the first wave we were approached by a clinician from Watford General Hospital looking for support in caring for a large virtual ward, to see if there was any tech that could help, and that kicked off a really fascinating project. The project is now in 10 sites, and the model can be run for those leaving hospital and in Primary Care Hubs; and part of our offer for the second wave is to help sites who would like to put this in place locally.”
Chris Richmond, and Timothy Cullinan at NHSX also joined Tara and Bried for a healthy questions and answers session.
