Manchester University NHS FT is to go live with its Epic electronic patient record system this week.
Ahead of a planned go-live for 8th September, the trust has released a ‘Get Ready for Go Live’ video (below), with staff sharing their advice and paying tribute to the efforts of staff involved.
In 2019, Epic was announced as the preferred bidder, being awarded a 15 year contract, worth £181m. The solution, called Hive, will be used across nine hospitals spread across six sites and is set to provide a new ‘operating system’ for MFT.
To support the trust’s communication and engagement objectives for the programme, a Twitter account MFT Hive has actively shared resources and training. More recently the account outlined it’s final three months of ‘workflow’ and ‘technical’ dress rehearsals:

It’s been a tremendous effort in extraordinarily challenging times and tomorrow is the start of something really transformational. I’ll be thinking of you.”
Good luck from the HTN team!
