It’s that time of year again – the Health Tech Awards are here to share digital teams, programmes, innovations and health tech suppliers.
Over the past few weeks the HTN team has worked with a fantastic team of judges, and we’re now delighted to share with you the finalists in the HTN Awards 2022!
Following 1,000 hours of judging and the HTN team working on a series of features – you can now delve into the entries in each category and read about lots of projects, digital teams and programmes, that have made the awards shortlist!

In these features you’ll be able to read up on the entries, the innovations and programmes, ahead of the digital awards evening that takes place on 13 October 2022– it’s open to everyone to celebrate their team, programmes and achievements.
HTN would like to say a huge thank you to the awards sponsor, CCube Solutions, and a fantastic group of judges who helped review and analyse each entry to ensure the worthy winners are selected.
The judging process was extremely tough, and enjoyable, so we thought we would pick out just a few comments from our judging team. They said:
- “Identified a need, something really simple but of great benefit for patients and also the communication between patients and staff” – Dr Richard Cullen, CCIO and innovation lead, South Yorkshire ICB
- “A great solution with high level accuracy and showing potential to provide an evidence-based product that will support diagnosis and intervention conveniently to the user at a significantly reduced cost” – Henrietta Mbeah-Bankas, Head of Blended Learning at Health Education England
- “Great example of where digital has been used to reduce administrative burden and release time for care. Its integrations with other systems being used to support workflow is a nice bonus” – Neesa Mangalaparathy, Programme Manager and XR delivery lead, NHS England Transformation Directorate
- “Using data and advanced analytics to deliver breakthrough insights, building confidence in AI to tackle workforce challenges cost-effectively” – Dr Jason Bincalar, Chief Information Officer, Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- “Significant savings of time and money. Impressive” – Dave Pickles, Lead Nurse, DIT, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
