IMS MAXIMS electronic patient record system has gone live across all departments of the Jersey General Hospital.
The hospital went live with the system on Sunday 28 May 2023, part of the Government of Jersey’s digital health transformation programme, which has an ambition to reach HIMSS Level 7 digital maturity.
Commenting on the EPR go-live, Ricardo Silva, a digital nurse and EPR clinical lead for the Government of Jersey, said: “This go-live represents the beginning of a journey and partnership that will help us achieve our ambitious digital health objectives and we are very pleased with IMS MAXIMS collaboration throughout this programme.”
Jacinta Ni Suaird, chief product and delivery officer at IMS MAXIMS, added that both the Jersey and IMS MAXIMS teams deserved acknowledgement for their “exceptional work”.
Following the go-live of the EPR, the Government of Jersey has signed a contract with IMS MAXIMS for the delivery of a sexual health solution called PreView, which offers a browser-based cross community and multidisciplinary solution for sexual health services across primary and secondary care.
Dr Rajesh Hembrom, service lead and consultant in integrated sexual health, HIV and viral hepatitis, added: “I am pleased that IMS MAXIMS will be providing a much-anticipated sexual health EPR to the Jersey Integrated Sexual Health Clinic. We expect this well-established browser-based solution to add a suite of welcome benefits to the way in which we operate and provide care. It will be a significant step for our long-term strategy to develop a progressive integrated sexual health and BBV service in Jersey.”
The EPR go-live follows the procurement in October 2021 when the Government of Jersey selected IMS MAXIMS as the EPR supplier.
