System C acquires MYP Technologies

British technology company, System C has acquired the Australian health and care management tech provider MYP Technologies, as part of their wider growth strategy to expand their social care and maternity product offerings on an international scale.

Having already established a national contract in Australia and New Zealand for their maternity care platform, System C plans to use MYP Technologies to speed up their growth strategy. “This acquisition reinforces our long-term commitment to the region,” Nick Wilson, CEO of System C, shared. “MYP is an exciting business with ambitious goals and we’re looking forward to supporting and scaling those ambitions together.”

According to System C, they are looking to expand MYP’s growth beyond Australia, noting a particular interest in introducing MYP health tech solutions to the UK market, where “demand for innovative digital care solutions continues to rise”.

John Fisher, CEO of MYP Technologies, commented on the acquisition: “With System C’s support, we can fast-track our product roadmap and extend our reach within Australia. I’m especially excited about introducing additional MYP Technologies solutions to the UK market, with several UK organisations using insight today. On its offering, MYP said it provides “solutions that are purpose-built for community-based organisations delivering in-home and community care, support coordination, plan management, therapy services, and more.”

Recent acquisitions in health and care 

Cyber asset intelligence company, Axonius recently acquired cyber security specialists, Cynerio for over $100 million. They plan to create a single, unified platform that will be “capable of securing the entire clinical environment”, covering a range of technologies and systems across IT, cloud, SaaS and clinical networks.

UK-based health tech company, VitalHub has acquired digital software company, Induction Healthcare and Canadian-based provider of patient flow solutions, Novari Health Inc in two separate deals. For the acquisition of Induction Healthcare, the announcement detailed a focus on “enhancing the patient journey from hospital to home, across the UK and beyond”, with patient platforms, Zesty and Attend Anyway “playing a pivotal role in modernising care delivery and patient engagement”. While the acquisition of Novari plans to “strengthen VitalHub’s leading position in the Canadian market” and improve patient access to care through referral management.

In June, the US-based health and wellness platform Hims & Hers Health, Inc. acquired UK digital health platform ZAVA, as part of a “significant step in its global expansion”, in which the company aims to advance its presence in other European countries such as Germany, France and Ireland. As well as strengthening its international footprint, the company also plans to introduce a new personalised digital health experience offering access to care across dermatology, sexual and mental health.

Blüm Technologies Group recently announced its acquisition of Nexus Digital Technologies in what it is calling a “strategic expansion in the primary engagement and community care space”. In acquiring Nexus, Blüm Technologies Group hopes to deliver a more end-to-end digital health service for organisations requiring support with digital transformation, broadening its capabilities to assist in areas across patient education, peer-to-peer support, direct access to healthcare professionals and connections to local services.
