Former National Medical Director of NHS England, Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, and former EMIS and Capita executive, Kevin McDonnell, have joined the company behind Medic Bleep, a secure messaging app for healthcare professionals.
Professor Sir Bruce Keogh will be joining Medic Creations in an advisory capacity. He is one of the UK’s leading medics having been England’s National Medical Director with responsibility for clinical leadership, quality and innovation for over ten years. He is currently Chairman of Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, one of England’s highest performing Trusts.
Sir Bruce said “Useful, timely and convenient communication underpins safe and effective clinical practice and healthcare delivery. That is why I am keen to support Medic Creations develop their mobile solution which aids and simplifies clinical communication.”
Kevin McDonnell joins Medic Creations as Chairman and has over 20 years’ experience building and scaling global digital health, healthcare technology and healthcare services businesses.
Kevin served as Managing Director of Digital Healthcare where he was responsible for scaling the UK business into the market leader, which was sold to EMIS Group plc, where he later joined as Managing Director of EMIS Health and EMIS Care. Kevin has also served as Business Director at Capita.
