Delegate registration opens for HTN X

HTN is delighted to open delegate registration for HTN X, an event to discuss, participate, challenge and focus on emerging technologies, AI, automation, innovation, data, and future tech for health and care executives leading the future.

At a pivotal point for health and care, we’re hosting an event to provide health and care leaders and health tech champions, a place to connect and go in-depth to shape future services. Through roundtable workshops, challenge questions, thought provoking discussions, in-depth case studies, networking, participation and learning from others, we’re curating an agenda for those curious, for those ready to embrace, and those ready to lead.

Join us 12 May 2027 at the Crowne Plaza, Leeds for this intimate event where we deep dive into future technologies for NHS leaders.

From strategy to leadership to implementation, HTN X will be a key event for NHS leaders to tackle challenges, discuss opportunities and approaches, and lead on future tech for the NHS.

Agenda at a glance

  • How AI is impacting cyber security, EPRs, patient communications, pathways and processes, information creation and management
  • AI blueprints, examples, case studies and learnings
  • How to lead an organisation through transformational change
  • Automation, data, AI, analytics, genomics, wearables – how can we prepare and leverage technology
  • Emerging tech and the patient/customer experience
  • The emerging tech lifecycle to being autonomous
  • How can we re-imagine health and care to tackle long existing challenges?
  • Ambient scribe tech in focus
  • Future hospitals programme, neighbourhoods, and digital hospitals
  • How emerging tech impacts patient knowledge, self management, prevention and reactive care
  • How are suppliers embracing AI
  • How do NHS organisations manage, monitor and oversee these technologies going forward
  • If we had to produce a complete register of every AI-enabled tool operating in our organisation today, including AI bundled into existing supplier products, how confident are we that we could do it?
  • What assurance should an AI system have to pass before implementation, and what evidence would give the Board confidence that it remains safe, effective and equitable after go-live?
  • Where should accountability sit?
  • How should the NHS balance the benefits of AI against wider risks such as cybersecurity, data and model sovereignty, supplier dependency and environmental impact, and what should constitute a reason not to proceed?
  • If AI takes over the tasks junior clinicians currently learn on, in ten years who will actually be qualified to notice when the AI is wrong?
