Servelec supporting the integration of social care across Dorset and Bournemouth

Servelec, the leading provider of software solutions across healthcare, social care and education, has been selected to supply its social care case management software, Mosaic, in both the borough of Bournemouth and the county of Dorset.

Dorset County Council and Bournemouth Borough Council have a history of working together. Both authorities are undergoing a period of service transformation driven by the need to respond to ongoing budget reductions and legislative changes. Whilst the councils used the same procurement process, the contract award is for two separate contracts; to ensure each service and authority proceeds at a suitable individual pace.

Servelec’s leading Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, RiO, is used by NHS Trusts in the Bournemouth and Dorset area, and Servelec’s Synergy product suite is also in place for education in both regions. Enabling all practitioners involved in caring for Adults, Children and Troubled Families to access and record the information they need within all these systems will contribute to delivering the councils’ vision of using information to make better plans and decisions and joining up data to help understand complex situations more easily.

Alan Stubbs, CEO of Servelec Group commented; “We are delighted to have been selected to implement Mosaic in partnership with Dorset County Council and Bournemouth Borough Council and look forward to delivering the big picture across health, social care and education in the region. “Enabling care practitioners to have ready access to all the information they need and supporting
