Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has chosen Idox Health’s iFIT logistics management platform.
The platform is now live across the Trust’s two main hospital sites, Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital, providing the Patient Administration team with a more effective way to track patient record movement and ensure timely retrieval ahead of appointments.
The implementation of the module has sparked change, allowing the Trust to refine its operational processes and deliver efficiencies through improved productivity. By using RFID tracking technology, the Trust will also benefit from an enhanced auditable trail – essential for minimising missing notes and for effective Information Governance.
With the RFID infrastructure and smart devices in place, the Trust has the opportunity to expand its use of the GS1 compliant system to track other hospital assets such as medical equipment, IT assets and pharmaceutical supplies.
