Medic Bleep seeks to raise £500,000

Medic Bleep, a communication tool to replace pagers in NHS Hospitals has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise £500,000.

The company has raised so far £310,080 as part of this campaign and is providing 7.27% equity, valuing the company at £6,382,094.

The tool is used by 4,200 NHS staff, including West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust to save nurses and junior doctors time, estimated to be between 21 minutes and 48 minutes per shift. The technology went through an extensive evaluation with West Suffok NHS FT to prove these figures. The Trust commissioned Medic Bleep to pilot the app as a replacement to the non-cardiac pager, between June – September 2017. The pilot was a success, demonstrating an improvement in efficiency of communication.

Medic Creations, the company behind the solution, was founded in 2014 by Dr Sandeep Bansal and is backed by a team of 25 individuals and specialist advisors. The company’s core product is Medic Bleep: a simple, secure and innovative patient focused solution to the communication challenges that healthcare professionals and the wider team in the NHS face.

Dr Sandeep Bansal said “With the need to rapidly scaling this out across many organisations to help during this time of need for the NHS we are seeking our first round of external funding with 60% already committed.”

“We would value your support on helping us deliver this enabling staff to work more collaboratively and effectively across the NHS and social care system.”
