KRY, known as Livi in English speaking markets, has merged with healthcare company Helsa one of the largest healthcare companies in Sweden.
KRY provides a platform to enable patients to see a doctor or a psychologist by video, at a time and place that suits them. The merger will combine the company with Helsa, one of Sweden’s largest privately owned healthcare companies, to focus on providing a more accessible health care system, based on science and proven experience.
From mid-August, KRY will formally take over the operation of Helsa’s health centres in five regions, including all staff and will establish a new way of working towards a digi-physical offer.
KRY opened its first physical health clinic in 2018 and currently has three clinics in two regions where digital and physical primary healthcare is fully integrated. It will also open three new clinics in Stockholm later this year, bringing the total number of physical clinics to 20 by the autumn of 2020.
Erik Brandberg, co-owner of Isac Brandberg AB/Helsa “Our ambition with Helsa has been to create a more modern patient experience by combining the benefits of digitalisation with physical health centres. By joining forces with KRY, we can boost the patient experience journey and reach this goal faster.”
Conny Mathiesen, CEO of Helsa said “Our partnership with KRY will enable us to create an integrated digital and physical care offer, with patients at the centre. I look forward to working with KRY to deliver tomorrow’s primary care, the care of the future.”
Erik Hjelmstedt, Swedish General Manager at KRY “With KRY’s merger with Helsa, our patients can continue to seek care from KRY digitally, whilst also receiving face-to-face care at more physical care centers in Sweden than we’ve previously been able to offer. This enables us to treat more symptoms whilst continuing to provide high-quality care that puts patients’ choice first.”
Earlier in 2020 KRY announced it has raised £119 million to help the business accelerate its ambitious growth plans in Europe.
