Northamptonshire CCG introduces clinically-led online suicide prevention resource

NHS Northamptonshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has introduced a new clinically-led online suicide prevention platform to support people with suicidal thoughts.

The digital platform, called Togetherall, provides people with access to clinically-led resources, self-guided groups and online forums. The online community is managed by psychology clinicians and can be accessed anywhere and at any time.

After commissioning the new service, Northamptonshire CCG is now working with the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) Integrated Response Hub to ‘manage user access’.

For an ‘initial period’, it says that 250 licenses will be available to people across the county who have been assessed as most likely to benefit from the support.

Morgan Price, Commissioning Manager for Mental Health at Northamptonshire CCG, said: “Mental health difficulties can often be very complex and we recognise that it is essential to offer a range of different care methods which meet the needs of individuals.

“By commissioning this new service we can offer access to an innovative platform which can be accessed anywhere at any time.

“We are working with our colleagues at NHFT to ensure that those who will benefit from this platform receive support to integrate this into their care plans.”

The new digital offering has been funded by Northamptonshire CCG through service development funding (SDF) for suicide prevention and the successful bid was also supported by Public Health Northamptonshire.
