Lyniate and NextGate announce merger agreement

Interoperability specialists Lyniate have entered into a definitive merger agreement with Nextgate, a company focusing on identity and master patient index solutions.

The organisations said through ‘increased market demand’ for interoperability solutions, and to support data quality and data sharing, the two will be joining.

Erkan Akyuz, president and CEO of Lyniate, commented on the merger: “The industry seeks interoperability solutions that integrate data and increase confidence in the meaning of that data as well. This is necessary to facilitate clinician satisfaction and improve patient experiences.

In the announcement the companies said the merger ‘deepens the interoperability stack’ by adding identity capabilities. Lyniate said: “For customers pursuing identity management initiatives, this strategic move offers immediate access to pre-built connectors.”
