Cambric Systems, a supplier of healthcare patient data software, has launched a solution to support GPs in sharing clinical images when referring patients to specialist services.
Intended to be used by GP practices and clinics, the company is introducing the tech to support the transfer of clinical images, whether a patient is diagnosed remotely or a clinician is capturing the image to send on to a specialist service such as dermatology. The tech allows the image to be attached to a patient’s record and sent on to specialist services, with the image also wiped from devices.
Garry Sherriff, MD at Cambric, said: “At Cambric we are dedicated to providing software solutions that make life easier for our frontline healthcare workers, including those that are working in the community.
“One of the key attributes of the solution is its interoperability with other systems, such as SCI Gateway in Scotland. We also recently achieved MIG accreditation to consume data from the Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG) to display in our Morse Electronic Patient Record platform. Being able to consume and display the high-quality clinical information from the MIG datasets underlines Cambric’s priority of putting accurate real-time patient information in the hands of those who need it most – the clinicians, directly at the point of care.”
The company is now inviting practices to join its early access programme to trial the software.
In recent digital general practice news, this week NHS England outlined actions to support primary care this winter, including a focus on digital and data.
