Frimley Health launches app to provide traffic light guidance on childhood illness

It provides parents, carers, and young people with access to NHS traffic light guidance on a range of childhood illnesses, such as what amber and red-flag signs to look out for, where to seek help if required, what to do to keep a child comfortable, and how long a child’s symptoms are likely to last.

The app also uses push notifications to prompt monitoring of the child’s condition against red and amber symptoms to the phone the app is registered to. The trust said the app is complementary to its Frimley Healthier Together website, an initiative to provide advice for local citizens.

Recently, Frimley Health has also launched a new perinatal pelvic health service, providing online resources on the Frimley Health and Care website. The new resources include videos on how to do pelvic floor muscle exercises and advice on safe exercise in pregnancy.

HTN last reported on Frimley Health in June 2022, when the trust launched its electronic patient record system Epic to replace over 200 paper and computer systems that were in place at the trust.
