Join us for our last events of 2022

Here at HTN we run a regular series of online events called HTN Now, through which we share webinars, features, thought leadership and more across a variety of health tech topics.

For the remaining weeks of 2022 we have three events left that are open to all to attend, focusing on citizen transformation, waitlist validation and digital integrated care systems.

We welcome speakers from across the industry from suppliers to NHS professionals to discuss and share their projects, learnings, challenges, advice and approaches.

5 December – Citizen transformation

For this one-day event we’ll hear from a host of professionals in the health tech industry on a range of topics including changing the care delivery model, remote monitoring and diagnostics at home.

At 9am, Paul Landau, CEO at Careology, will discuss digital cancer care and how to empower patients beyond the hospital walls. The talk will focus on how digital technology can be used to support patients through their cancer care and the global impact digital cancer care could have on cancer treatment in the next five years and beyond.

Next up at 10am, we’ll hear from Ben Panton, Senior Digital Partnerships Manager at NHS Arden & GEM CSU, for a talk on at-home diagnostics and innovation in patient pathways. Ben will share the latest findings from their work building an evidence base with NHS partners, and the implications for adjacent technologies and wider at-home diagnostics.

At 12pm, we will be joined by Apira Ltd for a discussion on patient engagement and empowerment, with focus on how new models of care delivery have been incorporated into digital systems and services projects for their national, regional and local clients. They will also share insight from projects where they have helped to deploy patient portals, remote monitoring, virtual consultation and virtual ward technology.

Speakers include Richard Scowen, Head of Procurement; David Corbett, Director of Client Engagement; Claire Doughty, Clinical Lead and Transformation Manager; and Alan Brown, Director of Professional Services.

At 2pm we will share another episode of our podcast HTN Let’s Talk, in which we explore citizen transformation with Liz Ashall Payne, co-founder and CEO of ORCHA.

8 December – Waitlist validation

On 8 December at 10am, we have a panel of guests joining us for a live webinar discussion, focusing on waiting list validation with NHS Highland and Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. The panel will discuss how they are approaching the validation of their waiting lists and what can be achieved.

First up at 12pm we have David Kwo, former CIO and current healthcare consultant, for a talk on how various NHS trusts have developed their EPR Outline Business Cases. David will review UK and US EPR implementations and their digital maturity, using first-hand experience and published data.

At 2pm, we will be joined by Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Health and Care Partnership (ICP) for a discussion on the co-production of a bespoke digital epilepsy health record pilot. They will share how they are piloting the portable digital epilepsy health record for children with complex epilepsy in Luton.
