Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB opens market engagement for remote monitoring tech

NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board has shared a future opportunity notice to seek views from suppliers of digital remote monitoring solutions.

Through a prior information notice published on the government’s tender portal, the ICB notes it has “been piloting a number of digital remote monitoring solutions which have not yet met all of their needs”. Therefore, plans to test the market and request information in this exercise to seek a more suitable digital solution.

To support the ICB’s vision to “deliver high-quality health care to medically unwell patients who can be managed safely in their own homes” it aims to identify a “suitable wearable or sensor based digital solution” to be worn and used by the frail and elderly.

One of the specific requirements is to remove the need for the patient to use multiple medical devices to collect their own clinical observations.

At this stage the budget for the project has not been determined, with this request for information process aiming to support the best way to procure a solution and start a tender process.

Interested suppliers have until 6 January 2023 to respond to this call, and it’s anticipated the ICB will publish the contract notice in February.
