North East London NHS Foundation Trust launches market engagement around ADHD tech

North East London NHS Foundation Trust has published a pre-procurement notice aiming to identify market capabilities and supplier interest for ADHD technologies.

In particular the trust seeks to develop a clear understanding for the number of suppliers capable of providing a fully digital diagnostic device for identification of ADHD, with hopes of reducing the backlog in this area and supporting clinical care quality by aligning to best practice guidelines.

A request for information is set out in the notice, asking suppliers to answer questions around the types of tests completed when testing for ADHD, whether refresher training is provided, examples of digital diagnosis machines within a community and mental health setting, and more.

The deadline for responses is 27 August at 1pm; click here for more information.

ADHD and autism in the spotlight

Back in May, we reported how South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Leeds Beckett University are collaborating on a project aiming to digitise the trust’s adult ADHD and autism service, to support with diagnosis and prioritisation of services.

Looking back, we explored research into the development of an algorithm to search for ADHD phenotypes in hospital-based electronic health records.

Regarding autism, we noted the launch of a virtual autism hub by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, designed to offer non-clinical advice; and we highlighted a study commissioned by NHS England which sought to explore clinician views on the use of digital technology in the autism assessment pathway.
