Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB looks to procure £1.3 million end-to-end digital system

Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICB has issued a tender notice for a digitalised All Age Continuing Care (AACC) end-to-end digital system, with a total contract value of £1.3 million over three years.

The ICB seeks a system to support the delivery of “enhanced transformation across all spectrums of the service”, offering a seamless flow of information and connecting the entire lifecycle within a single platform.

Whilst the procurement is initially for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, the notice adds that there is the potential for Berkshire, Oxfordshire and West Berkshire ICB to join the contract during its term, “further supporting alignment and collaboration across neighbouring systems”.

The deadline for enquiries is 16 June, 10am, with the deadline for the submission of tenders is given as 27 June, 10am. To learn more, please view the tender  here.

Digital transformation in Hampshire and Isle of Wight

Late last year, Hampshire and Isle of Wight shared a prior information notice regarding planned procurement of an electronic prescribing and medicines administration solution, with specification that the solution will be cloud-based and suitable for use within all care settings. The supplier will be required to work as a strategic partner alongside the trust to “develop and innovate” the product, with particular focus on developing interoperability between external systems.

The ICB also published a prior information notice for the procurement of a patient engagement portal solution, with a budget of £800,000. Requirements included: the ability for patients to book, schedule and cancel appointments via direct integration with EPRs; patient access to care plans and assessments via the portal; the creation of custom questionnaires and forms for the collation of clinical information linked to the patient record; the ability for patients and carers to view letters as well as two way communication between patients and clinical teams; and the automation of administrative tasks and notifications.

In April, Hampshire and Isle of Wight announced a contract award of £102,000 for a one-year deal to London-based Dr Julian Medical Group Ltd for Talking Therapies third party provision. The notice shared that the trust required an “innovative, efficient, and effective solution to support and enhance the delivery of Talking Therapies and associated Psychology services (Step 2, Step 3 and Step 3+)”, which would also offer “flexibility and responsiveness to changing needs and demands of the services and patients”.
