Join us 3 August for HTN Digital Primary Care

Join HTN and colleagues on Wednesday 3 August for our virtual event focused on all things digital primary care.

HTN events provide the opportunity for healthcare professionals to share learnings, experiences and solutions on different topics and across different areas of digital in health and care. They are open to all and free to attend for NHS staff.

For our digital primary care event, we will be sharing six webcasts and a written feature exploring views from across the industry on the future of technology in primary care. You can join us for the whole day or drop into the sessions that are of most interest to you.

Here are the topics we’ll be covering next week:

  • 9am: Keynote, digital first primary care: Dr Minal Bakhai, National Director for Primary Care Transformation at NHS England, shares a keynote session on putting digital first, joined by colleague Dominic Vallely to share information on the UX work the team have undertaken on GP websites and systems.
  • 10am: Access to patient records, what’s happening in November: Dr Osman Bhatti, GP and Chief Clinical Information Officer for East London Health and Care Partnership discusses what patient access to GP records from November 2022 means for general practice and how we can prepare.
  • 11am: Remote monitoring to behavioural health: Generated Health on the benefits and drawbacks of remote monitoring, with a focus on behavioural health and how it can support overloaded clinical teams.
  • 12pm, a live session with Dr James Kingsland OBE
  • 1pm, Advanced telephony in the age of Primary Care Networks: babblevoice demonstrate the benefits of advanced telephony that integrates with clinical systems for primary care networks, practices, patient and staff.
  • 2pm: The future of digital primary care: HTN explore views and opinions from healthcare professionals across the industry by asking what digital primary care will look like in two, five and ten years (to be published here on HTN’s website).
  • 3pm: Patient consent, how dictation can help: Professor Vivienne Harpwood, Emerita Professor at Cardiff University and NHS Wales Consultant, and Dr Telabasic Senard, GP at Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust, discuss how dictation solutions can assist in creating comprehensive patient information for consent purposes.
