EMIS rebrands as Enlivio Health

EMIS has rebranded as Enlivio Health, announcing an “exciting new era” following a strategy refresh, the introduction of new leadership, and a renewed focus on improving pace and consistency across product and development teams.

Taking to LinkedIn, the company shared a post stating: “More than a new identity, Enlivio Health reflects our ambition to move faster, innovate boldly and make an even greater impact in healthcare.”

CEO Paul Marriott highlighted the company’s focus on powering a connected healthcare system and building smarter technology that can help healthcare organisations “thrive”, adding: “We recognise the responsibility we have to our customers and their patients. We care deeply about our customers and that shows in our commitment to deliver what matters: technology that makes a meaningful difference to patients each day.”

The rebrand includes a new company website, with a new logo, a new domain, and a bold new colour scheme. “Our new name is inspired by the idea of enlivening, energising and bringing life – reflecting the energy and ambition we’re bringing to what comes next,” it states. “We’re putting that ambition to work, creating smarter technology that helps healthcare thrive today and shape tomorrow.”

Wider trend: Digital primary care

The Department of Health and Social Care has commissioned a national programme of engagement for GPs and practice managers, to “genuinely influence” national policy with their views on how patient data is used across the NHS. The NHS Transformation Directorate noted that “the potential of NHS data is key to advancing population health, improving patient care, and informing the development of the single patient record, but changes to national policy on data use “will only be successful if they are workable and trusted in practice”.

NHS Midlands has completed an at-scale procurement of Heidi’s ambient voice technology solution to cover all 1,239 GP practices and 15 acute and community trusts in the region. The region-wide procurement, led by The Dudley Group and Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals, will support all GPs to access the technology without needing to undertake a separate local process. Heidi, the selected supplier, is one of 23 suppliers listed on NHSE’s self-certified AVT registry, which was first published back in January.
