At Primary Eyecare, we believe in the power of knowledge, awareness and action to drive positive change. Primary Eyecare is a not-for-profit optometry provider collaborative, working to support the commissioning and delivery of NHS eye care services. Our aim is to ensure that patients receive the best possible eye care and that services remain sustainable and resilient in an ever-changing landscape.
Over the last 10 years, we have grown to become the leading provider of NHS primary and community eye care services in England. We now employ over 100 people, delivering care through a network of more than 2,300 optometry practices. We currently hold and manage contracts on behalf of the primary eye care network, spanning more than 28 integrated care systems and delivering over 580,000 episodes of patient care each year with a total annual turnover of £30+million.
Our purpose is to be the leading provider collaborative for NHS eye care services, setting the benchmark for excellence, proactively developing strong partnerships, sharing insights and promoting standards. By working closely together, our stakeholders – along with ourselves – will identify and implement best practices, design innovative solutions and deliver patient-centred initiatives that benefit local communities.
We are now looking for an experienced Digital Transformation Director with extensive knowledge and skills in NHS healthcare technology, to set the vision and direction for our digital transformation. This role will be pivotal in enabling us to meet our objectives, particularly in relation to Innovation, where we will apply technologically led solutions in alignment with NHS strategies, using a ‘digital first’ methodology when looking at integrated models of care within systems.
We invite you to join us on this exciting journey as we work together to shape the future of eye care service delivery, growing our organisation in a sustainable and transparent way, as we launch our 2023-2026 strategy – laying the foundations for continued success, embracing change and seizing opportunities.
As a values-based organisation, we are looking for individuals who share and demonstrate our values. We are Patient Centred, Collaborative, Inclusive, Trusted, Sustainable. These values ensure that we remain focused and guide us in our collaborative work with Local Optical Committees, optometry practices, the NHS and most importantly – with and for patients.
