A rare opportunity has arisen for the post of Director of Operations at First Community Health and Care, an outstanding employee owned social enterprise, delivering NHS Services in East Surrey and parts of West Sussex. This post should appeal to an executive clinical professional who is motivated and inspired by leading others through continuous quality improvement, organisational development and system wide working.

The Board is seeking an exceptional Director of Operations who can provide strategic and clinical leadership at Board level with prior experience from the NHS or healthcare sector. They should be an effective and credible system leader with a commitment to fostering collaborative partnerships having a proven track record of leading on wide scale quality improvement and integration work with the professional confidence to ensure that there is a strong clinical voice at the Board and wider system.

You will be joining First Community as it moves into a new and exciting phase in its history, transitioning into Surrey Heartlands ICS, setting up an Integrated Care Partnership and embedding our services in PCN networks and developing new relationships in order to design and deliver contemporary and integrated services for the future.

In order to support and enable this change, the post holder will have strong influencing skills and be a highly visible, compassionate and inclusive leader. Keeping the patient at the centre of everything we do is essential for this post, whilst role-modelling our organisational behaviours both within and outside of the organisation.

You will be joining a friendly, professional and clinically-led social enterprise with a highly engaged workforce and an outstanding reputation with regulators and system partners. The post combines a crucial requirement for strategic insight and capability, professional leadership, operational and clinical management performance and assurance and accountability and responsibility for a broad portfolio.

The post holder will be accountable for ensuring high performance in quality, operational standards and delivery by providing and ensuring robust and visible leadership to your team, ensuring safe, high quality and efficient service delivery. You will also seek, share and drive opportunities, through the redesign and integration of services, in order to deliver operational performance and transformational improvement, contributing to the overall success of the organisation and wider system.

We are also looking for an individual who has a strong track record of delivery, who demonstrates excellent leadership qualities and someone who is inspirational and engaging with staff, external partners and patients.
