As such, we are seeking to appoint our first Director of Innovation.  This is an exciting and unique opportunity to ensure that the strategy for innovation aligns with the Trust’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives to drive healthcare improvements including through technological change.

To enhance connectivity between our world-class clinical research expertise and commercial partners, we are seeking an experienced commercial research leader who can bring a new perspective to ensure the Trust reaches the next level of performance – via developing and leading a coherent approach to maximise income generation, inward investment, and increase collaboration and joint ventures with commercial and academic partners.

As an integral Trust representative, networking extensively across healthcare, business, industry, government, and our academic community, the Director of Innovation will also help shape national and international debates on clinical innovation priorities, extending our reputation, profile, and impact.

To fulfil the role, you will have demonstrable collaborative leadership skills from a breadth of disciplines and be an inspiring, compassionate, values-based senior leader who creates trust and loyalty. You will have highly developed negotiation, influencing skills and awareness, with significant experience of operating at Board level in a complex environment.
