Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust has implemented an electronic prescribing and medicines administration system from WellSky.
The system has gone live in the outpatients department, with further wards to go live soon. The project is being supported with remote training and virtual project meetings, which to date has led to 13 project days saved said the organisations.
Jan Birley, Project Manager, said “the project team had a job to get done and they had to make sure it happened in the safest way”; one of the reason the project was accelerated this year.

There is so much rich functionality in this system, the Medicines Reconciliation module and the Task functionality to name just two, I think these are innovative new ways to provide patient benefits as well as user benefits.”
