South East London ICS signs deal for workforce tech to support staffing

A South East London Integrated Care System, Our Healthier South East London, has signed a two-year deal to deliver workforce technology across the area.

200 GP practices and 58 extended hub sites will be connected using Lantum’s platform to support workforce scheduling and staffing.

The company said the single platform will support healthcare teams in the area move away from using recruitment agencies, or using WhatsApp, spreadsheet and messages to resolves staffing issues.

50 percent of GP practices in South East London currently use the Lantum platform, however the deal will enable all practices to connect.

Melissa Morris, CEO and Founder of Lantum commented on the news: “NHS staffing is in crisis and it is a privilege to be able to support organisations to connect better to their workforce, staff more safely and ultimately improve patient care.

“Staff shortages are high, backlogs of patients, built up over the pandemic, are at dangerous levels, and front-line staff are experiencing extreme burnout like never before. Healthcare organisations need transformative technology, not just small incremental improvements around the edges.”

Earlier in the year HTN covered the news of the platform being used across Greater Manchester Health and Care Partnership, and the company raising £11m to support growth plans and to build new products.
