Vinehealth and Cancer Research UK (CRUK) have formed a partnership to support people living with cancer, to support them in managing, tracking and understanding their care through the Vinehealth digital app.
The app has been co-developed with both NHS oncologists and cancer patients with the aim of helping patients to feel more confident and in control. From the clinician perspective, it is hoped that by providing them with better data, they will feel supported to make “more timely and personalised decisions”.
The app enables people to record side effects and symptoms and facilitates communication with their care team to keep them up-to-date with how their patients are getting on.Alongside this, patients will receive reminders about appointments and medication, in addition to information on how to manage treatment and lifestyle issues.
CRUK’s library of expert information is also easily accessible to patients within the app
Georgina Kirby, Co-Founder Vinehealth, added: “We have seen firsthand the power that technology has to support patients remotely, which in the current climate is vital. Vinehealth delivers thoughtful technology that delivers value for people living with cancer.”
