For our final article of the year as part of our Health Tech Trends Series sponsored by InterSystems, we took to LinkedIn to ask our audience of healthcare professionals, if you could solve one challenge in the health tech industry, what would it be?
A wide range of people took part in the poll from trusts, ICSs and organisations across the country – NHS trusts, NHS Digital, NHS England, suppliers, and more.
129 people cast their votes in total.
Integration and interoperability received the highest number of votes, with a share of 42 percent. Votes came in from people including a strategy manager at an NHS trust, a head of clinical systems, a GP, a service deliver manager and a clinical lead.
After that came adoption pace and behaviour change with 28 percent of votes. This was the option chosen a number of CIOs, a senior programmes manager, a practice development manager and a benefits manager, among others.
Funding took the third largest share of the vote with 18 percent; here, we saw individuals including a technical specialist, programme lead, security specialist and NHS chief executive officer.
The final option was legacy systems with 12 percent. An EMR programme manager, head of digital, and a transformation director cast their vote here, alongside a director of strategy, team manager, policy manager and more.
