United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has issued a pipeline notice to procure an EPR implementation delivery partner to support its EPR programme.
The trust states that the notice is to inform forward planning, ahead of an approximate date of 1 July 2026 given for the publication of a tender notice. Estimated contract dates run from 1 September 2026 to 31 March 2028, for a period of a year and seven months.
The Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group recently put forward its suggested timeline for a three-phase delivery of its EPR, with the first two phases to be delivered by April 2027.
Currently, the EPR programme is to go ahead in three phases: phase one covering front door systems, patient safety bundle, bed and flow management, and investigations to go live in October 2026;
and phase two covering electronic prescribing, investigations read and interact, inpatient paperless, and infection prevention control to go live in April 2027, pending confirmation from Nervecentre.
Phase three will be “more complex due to patient services hub integration”, the trust noted, incorporating PAS, theatres, patient engagement elements, outpatient clinical, and final elements on interfaces with other systems.![]()
Wider trend: EPR
Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is progressing with its EPR programme, noting the beginning of clinical validation workshops and workforce engagement initiatives. The CCIO of Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust has taken to LinkedIn to share an update on progress toward the trust’s scheduled 2027 go-live of the Rio EPR system. Referring to the coming week as a “pivotal” one in the journey toward go-live, Venkatesh Muthukrishnan, CCIO, shared that it marks the beginning of clinical validation workshops which will see clinicians coming together to inform the development of the system.
Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust is celebrating the successful launch of phase two of its Nervecentre EPR, “significantly” expanding its functionality and moving forward with hopes of realising “safer” and “more coordinated” care. The phase two launch incorporates urgent and emergency care, and allows clinical documentation, internal referrals, bed management, and e-observations to be completed within the EPR.
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has celebrated the go-live of its Nervecentre EPR, posting on LinkedIn about the milestone and thanking all involved. According to the trust board, go-live was deferred from February following delays with NHSE approval. First tranche functionality introduced covers observations, clinical documentation for inpatients, urgent and emergency care, ePMA, bed management, and read-only diagnostic results.
