Birmingham and Solihull chooses OnBase

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust has chosen Hyland Healthcare’s OnBase to manage clinical content across its services.

The trust has select Hyland Healthcare to digitise and manage clinical and back office documents, develop digital workflows and deliver content to clinicians and staff when they need it.

The project starts with a three month pilot, and aims to demonstrate the technology and connect all departments and specialties, including delivering mobile technologies, such as electronic consents. Once proven it will then be rolled out across the trust and its 4,000 employees.

Dr James Reed, chief clinical information officer at Birmingham & Solihull “We are launching this initiative with OnBase to create a truly interoperable platform where our existing technology investments can work together to create a comprehensive patient record.”

“With a more complete record that captures structured and unstructured content, our clinicians will have everything they need at their fingertips to make more informed clinical decisions that can improve patient outcomes.”
