NHS Digital has appointed Pete Rose as new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Deputy CEO.
Pete Rose, currently at the Home Office as director of enterprise services and deputy chief digital, data and technology officer will join NHS Digital on 4th May 2020.
He will be responsible for running all of NHS Digital’s live services, solutions assurance and internal cyber security in addition to supporting organisations across health and care to bolster their own information security in his role as the system’s CISO.

The news comes as the second high profile appointment this week following NHSX announcing the appoint of its permanent CTO.
David Turner, the Chief Technology Officer at William Hill has been appointed the permanent CTO of NHSX taking over from acting CTO, Hadley Beeman, who will be remaining as Chief Tech Advisor to the Secretary of State.
